Y.A.C. Group Sustainable Procurement Policy

 

  The Y.A.C. Group promotes procurement and purchasing activities that take into account social responsibilities such as human rights, labor practices, environmental stewardship, and social contribution, in order to realize our corporate philosophy of “Contributing More to Society.”

  The Y.A.C. Group promotes sustainability in the procurement and purchasing (hereinafter referred to as “procurement”) of raw materials, products, equipment, and various services related to the goods and services we provide to our customers, and aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society together with our business partners.

  This policy defines the principles required for all Y.A.C. Group companies when engaging in procurement activities. Through proactive communication with our business partners, we seek to build mutual understanding and collaboration, thereby contributing to sustainability across the entire supply chain.

 

1. Respect for Human Rights and Consideration for the Working Environment

  The Y.A.C. Group conducts procurement activities that respect human rights and consider appropriate working conditions.

  1. We avoid involvement in human rights violations such as forced labor, child labor, and discrimination, and strive to respect human rights throughout the supply chain.
  2. Together with our business partners, we work to ensure appropriate working environments across the supply chain, including the provision of safe and hygienic workplaces.
  3. We strive to ensure sustainable product supply by securing product quality that guarantees safety and establishing management systems that support such quality, thereby providing safe and stable services to our customers.

 

2. Consideration for the Environment and Society

  The Y.A.C. Group conducts procurement activities with consideration for the global environment.

  1. We engage in procurement activities that contribute to climate change mitigation, including efficient use of energy and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
  2. We promote procurement activities that contribute to a circular economy by reducing waste and encouraging resource circulation.

 

3. Compliance and Fair Transactions

    We comply with domestic and international laws, social norms, and internal regulations, and conduct fair and sincere transactions based on sound social ethics.

  1. We appropriately manage confidential information, personal information, intellectual property rights, and other procurement-related information.
  2. In selecting suppliers, we provide fair and equitable opportunities. Supplier selection and procurement decisions are based on safety, quality, delivery, and reasonable pricing. We strive for fair and impartial treatment and do not engage in improper transactions that hinder free competition.
  3. We do not accept or engage in any form of corruption, including money laundering, embezzlement, bribery, extortion, or gifts and entertainment that exceed socially acceptable norms.
  4. We take a firm stance against antisocial forces and organizations and do not engage in any conduct that may support or promote their activities.

 

4. Mutual Trust with Business Partners

    We strive to build trusting relationships with all our partner companies to support the sustainable growth of both the Y.A.C. Group and our business partners.

  1. In procurement activities, we engage in communication that respects the positions of both parties.
  2. To contribute to the development of local communities and to provide products and services that inspire and delight our customers, we strive to enhance communication with our business partners.

 

5. Supplementary Provisions

    The Y.A.C. Group may establish its own guidelines based on this  policy, taking into account the business activities of each Group company.
